Terms & Conditions

Effective as at 1 April 2023

The following are the Terms and Conditions between the user, or the customer, and Platinum Chauffeur Drive (PCD). On confirmation of the booking the user or the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions. PCD reserves the right to change, update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Reservations

  • An email, online booking or telephone request does not guarantee a confirmed booking. The requests may be denied due to invalid information provided or entered by the customer, including, but not limited to, invalid credit card numbers, incomplete pick up information and unserviceable requests.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to verify the details on the booking confirmation sent by PCD.

  • Once PCD has sent a booking confirmation to the customer and PCD has not received any amendments from the customer at least two hours prior to the scheduled transfer time PCD will assume the booking details are correct and confirmed and all of these terms and conditions apply.

  • Changes to reservation confirmations will reflect any changes to the terms and conditions for the particular journey outlined.
     

Payments

  • Scheduled rate cards are subject to change without notice.

  • Airport transfers require a credit card to guarantee the booking.

  • We will accept payment for transfers by cash, bank cheque or credit card (a credit card fee may apply). If an authorized account has been established the transfer can be charged to your account. Payment is required within 7 days unless otherwise approved.

  • Credit cards accepted include; Visa, American Express and Mastercard.

  • All other charges such as GST, road tolls and parking fees will be reflected in the total transfer charge.

  • Between 01.00 and 05.00 hours an additional 15% surcharge will be made to the transfer charge. The surcharge will be calculated on the charge prior to the addition of tolls, parking and GST.

  • A 15% surcharge may apply to public holidays.

  • The transfer charge will be made to your credit card prior to the transfer being undertaken. Any additional charges relating to this transfer will be charged on completion of the transfer.

  • In the event of a “no-show” the full charge will apply.
     

Waiting time and Stops

  • A ten minute “grace period” is included for all transfers from a pick up location other than an airport.

  • For Domestic arrivals a 30 minute “grace period” is included from the time the aircraft lands.

  • For International arrivals a 60 minute “grace period” is included from the time the aircraft lands.

  • The Chauffeur/Company will make every effort to contact the client and/or the agent for direction or stand down.

  • Waiting time is charged in 15 minute intervals.

  • Extra stops will incur additional charges.
     

Cancellation Policy

General and airport:

  1. Cancellations within 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time will incur 100% of the transfer cost.

  2. Additional terms and conditions may apply and will be detailed in the quotation/booking confirmation provided.
     

Touring and Special Events

  • These events may be subject to additional terms and conditions which will be detailed in the quotation/booking confirmation provided.

  • Cancellation fees within 48 hours may be subject to 100% charges.

  • Booking Variations

  • Any variation from the scheduled/confirmed transfer will incur additional costs and will be at the discretion of the Chauffeur. The Chauffeur will advise the client of any additional costs and obtain approval from the client or agent prior to providing the variations.


​Additional event/Excursion Costs

  • Unless otherwise agreed to in advance any additional costs associated with entry fees, refreshments etc are the responsibility of the agent/client.
     

Luggage

  • Every effort will be made to carry the entire luggage however if the clients luggage exceeds the requested vehicle’s luggage compartment alternative transport will be sourced and additional costs will be the responsibility of the client.
     

General conduct with PCD vehicles

  • Smoking and drugs are prohibited. Alcohol is only permitted at the Chauffeur’s discretion. The chauffeur has the right to terminate the transfer without refund if there is a blatant indiscretion on the part of the client.

  • PCD is not responsible for delays or termination in winter caused by unsafe road conditions (egg accidents, weather, etc)

  • PCD is not responsible for articles left in the vehicle.

  • The client assumes full financial liability for any damage to the vehicle caused during the duration of the hire by them or members of their party. All costs will be borne by the customer.
